Part 1: Genesis of Primordial Dragons
The universe was but an empty void at the beginning of time; only Azathoth, the origin of all matter, possesses consciousness. Awakened from a long slumber, it destroyed its body where Daoloth sprang from. The instinct of Azathoth was to destroy, yet Daoloth to create. Ceaselessly, they destroyed and created countless organisms in the universe.
Daoloth, the creator, designed the silhouette of Continent Tarones, as well as the three species of dragons, beasts, and elves, with his own power. Azathoth, the destroyer, followed Daoloth to the continent. It finally dawned on them that creation and destruction were not necessarily irreconcilable.
Later, Azathoth and Daoloth disappeared from the continent of Tarones for unknown reasons, but they left behind a kind of energy named Monesis. The blessings of Monesis gave birth to a new species, Machina, whose fellows assembled to form cities.
Part 2: The War against Eldus
Pompeii, the leader of Machina, had a vision of bringing together the different species across the continent to guard Monesis and create a world of peace and harmony.
However, a new species appeared without warning — Eldus. Coming from distant corners of the universe, they considered recording history and exploring their origin to be their ultimate mission.
Since they had discovered that Monesis was closely related to their origin, Shamash brought other Eldus to Tarones and requested Monesis from Pompeii, who rejected her.
To bring back the mother of her species, Shamash waged wars against the machinas and stirred up conflicts across the continent. The forbearance of Machina had only worsened their situation, and they were eventually defeated by Elduses and their allies.
Invaded by Eldus, Machinas had no choice but to seal Shamash along with the entire Mech City in order to protect Monesis and everything in the universe.
But this was far from the end. The eldus, Enlil, had replaced Shamash and become the new leader who perpetrated a bloody massacre on the continent of Tarones.
The Runedragon Cang Bi, however, was a friend of Machina. Inheriting the spirit of Pompeii, it planned to form an alliance to retaliate.
Part 3: Cang Bi’s Infiltration
To retrieve Monesis from Machinas, the Eldus created an inferior life form named “Earthlings” based on their own physiques. The earthlings were loyal servants of the Eldus; they existed for war.
The combatants had always obeyed the orders of the Eldus. Still, when they discovered that the Eldus would sacrifice the lives of earthlings to strengthen their own power and that they were manipulated merely as a tool, the seeds of a rebellion against the Eldus were sown.
Among the earthlings, Leonard trusted the Eldus wholeheartedly until he accidentally witnessed Enlil’s malice. After being saved by the Cang Bi, the Runedragon, he started to investigate what evil the Eldus had done. The series of events laid the foundation for the Earthlings’ rebellion later.
The eldus Enkidu was captivated by the earthling Elpis and kept her with him.
They fell for each other, and eventually Elpis bore Enkidu’s child, who would bring enormous influence to the world.
Part 4: The Rebellion of Earthlings
After Shamash was sealed, her successor Enlil became increasingly violent. She issued orders to raid the tribes of dragons, beasts, and elves, and bring the weak back to the territory of Eldus.
Upon hearing the news, the Runedragon Cang Bi decided to protect them. So, it entered their territory in hopes of saving those captured.
To avoid getting noticed, Cang Bi turned itself into an earthling-like figure and sneaked into the territory. Along its journey, it encountered a group of earthlings who had realized they were being used. Cang Bi was determined to set them free.
Along with Leonard, Cang Bi knew from the creator of Earthlings that a fear-provoking spell was cast on all Earthlings. They were dominated by the Eldus forever, and they couldn’t do anything about it.
Before anyone could come up with a solution, Elpis was to be publicly executed by Enlil due to her pregnancy. Cang Bi and its companions had to rack their brains to save Elpis, but all the rebels lost their freedom and were still trapped in the territory.
After escaping from the territory of the Eldus, Cang Bi was till chased after. On the brink of war, Enkidu intervened and rescued both Cang Bi and Elpis. As an Eldus, Enkidu was so ashamed of what his species had done that he decided to assist Cang Bi in its retaliation against the Eldus.
The fire of retaliation was raging…
