An Introduction to 【Chronographic Trigger】System

An Introduction to 【Chronographic Trigger】System

Chronographic Trigger is a new battle gameplay system in Tower of Saviors that will revolutionize Summoners’ gaming experience. By unlocking Chronon Cards and deploying them in battles, Summoners can wield the mysterious Chronon Runestones and even connect them to characters to acquire more incredible abilities and skills, crafting unique strategies according to their playstyle!

The Chronon Card Decks can be found in the Summoner’s Inventory. Summoners may use  Blank Cards to unlock different powerful Chronon Cards and further enhance their formidable capabilities with the mystical energy of Marbles. Tower of Saviors is happy to introduce the inaugural series of Chronon Cards, the “Steeple of Sunrise”, and that is just the beginning! Summoners, please stay tuned as we unveil a multitude of diverse Chronon Card series, each  with its own unique theme in the future!

Blank Card

Blank Cards are items that can be used to unlock Chronon Cards that have the same number of Stars.

Chronon Card

Basic settings:

  • Each Chronon Card has 5 levels. The capacity of FP storage and skill effects of each Chronon Card vary according to its level.
  • FPs refer to the energy point in a Chronon Card. The number of FP storage and consumption of the Chronon Cards differ according to the number of stars. A Chronon Card’s skills and effects can be activated only when the FPs is full in a battle.
  • Chronon Skills refer to the instant effects and continuous effects activated when a character is equipped with a Chronon Runestone.
  • Triggered Skills refer to the skill effects activated when a Chronon Character Runestone is dissolved in the first batch.

With Marbles of the same Chronon Card Deck series, Summoners can level up their Chronon Cards and enhance the following stats and effects (the result may differ according to the number of stars):

  • The number of initial FPs and the number of FPs to be stored in each round.
  • The stats of specific skills and the number of skill effects.

Marble

Marbles are items that can be used to strengthen Chronon Cards. There will be a monthly acquisition quota on Marbles, and the quota will increase over time (i.e. on the 1st day of each month). When Summoners accumulate a quantity greater than the limit:

  • Summoners cannot enter any Stages or Floors that contain Marbles as a reward (This is a similar approach to the Boss x2 Coupons.)
  • The extra Marbles will be stored in the Deposit Box.

The Items in the Deposit Box will be transferred to the Summoner’s Inventory and available for use once the quota is increased.

Battle

Each Summoner can equip at most 1 Chronon Card in each battle. Summoners may equip the Chronon Card simply by tapping the bottom right corner when editing a Team.  The “Chronographic Trigger” system is not applicable to multi-team challenges and Arena battles.

Chronon Meter

At the beginning of a battle, 1 random Runestone will be modified to become Chronon Runestone. FPs will be stored in the Chronon Meter when a Chronon Runestone is dissolved.

Chronon Runestone

Chronon Runestones can be exploded, removed, and restored to normal state. By moving the fully charged Chronon Runestone to a character’s icon, Summoners can activate the Chronon Card’s Instant Effect and Round Effect.

FP

The more stars a Chronon Card has, the higher its FP storage capacity will be. By dissolving Chronon Runestones, Summoners can store FPs in the Chronon Meter. The number of initial FPs and the number of FP consumption can be increased by enhancing the Chronon Card’s level.

How to Use

When Summoners move the fully charged Chronon Runestone to a character’s icon, the Chronon Card’s Instant Effect and Round Effect will be immediately activated.

  • Chronon Skill: Instant Effect
    • An immediate skill effect that activates when a character is equipped with the Chronon Meter.
  • Chronon Skill: Round Effect
    • When a character is equipped with the Chronon Meter, a special effect will be activated and stay in play at the cost of a number of FPs each Round. The effect will stop and the Chronon Meter will return to the screen as a Chronon Runestone at the end of the round when there are insufficient FPs.
  • Triggered Skill
    • While a character is equipped with the Chronon Meter, Summoners may take one of the following actions:
      • Activate Triggered Skill by dissolving the Chronon Character Runestone in the first batch at the cost of remaining FPs in the Chonon Meter. The Chronon Meter will return to the screen as a Chronon Runestone at the end of the Round.
      • Maintain the FPs in the Chronon Meter without dissolving the Chronon Character Runestone in the first batch. The Chronon Meter will return to the screen as a Chronon Runestone at the end of the Round.
