Finale　Centre of the Realm

Part 1

“Providing Nutrients”

In the face of the overpowering enemy, everyone had exerted all their strength beyond boundaries and done their best to break the power nucleus, successfully weakening Monesis to enable Enoch to confront its main body part.
Standing high up, Enoch started a fierce battle with the main body. But the demonic miasma inside Enoch’s body was starting to prevent him from launching attacks.
Enoch: “Darn it… I’m numbed… Using elemental power must have catalyzed the demonic miasma… I have to make it till the end!”
Enoch was involved in the war against the demons earlier, when Baal, the demon who had disguised as his friend, injected demonic miasma in him.
Though Gaia had given Enoch a treatment that suppressed the miasma, it was impossible to remove it from his body completely. Worse still, the miasma was active again after several battles in a row and was now affecting Enoch’s movements.
Enoch: “This will be the death blow…I have to finish this once and for all…I can’t let everyone down.”
With resolution, Enoch clenched his teeth and focused. He raised the staff with both hands, poured all the power into it and casted the attack over the weakened Monesis. The light appeared, shining brilliantly like a fading spark, which composed a magnificent battle hymn of victory and defeat.
Roarrr——Monesis let out a roar of agonies after taking the hit. Its colossal body fell down, bleeding some kind of slimy purple liquid that was exuded with a smell of blood and organs.
Enoch: Wheeze…great…I’ve accomplished…my mission…
Hong Ai: Enoch!
Dagda: It’s not down yet!
Enoch: Huh? Urgh— Hmm… I can’t… I can’t move…
Enoch looked back and saw several violet tentacles reaching him from the main body. As much as he wanted to run away and launch attacks, the demonic miasma inside him prevented him from doing so. Unfortunately, his companions were too far away to save him. They could only watch how Enoch was seized by the tentacles and dragged into the main body in an instant.
???: Come back… the power separated from me… Be my nutrients…
Enoch: “I’m sorry… Ingrid… Sorry… Glauox… I didn’t complete my mission, I couldn’t make your dreams come true… I’m sorry… ”
Taken over by the demonic miasma, Enoch had no way to defend himself. Devoured and absorbed, he became part of the main body.
Hong Ai: No… No! Enoch!
Hong Ai and the others rushed over to save him, but the tentacles seized hold of them as well.

A voice beyond human perception was heard, inspiring awe in everyone. The main body shook its enormous body, its golden surface was now covered with dark shades of purple, which emerged everywhere and invaded all creatures.
???: Everything originates from “…”, it’s time to return to the origin. Embrace destruction, so that a new future can be created…
After the solemn declaration, the ominous purple engulfed Continent Tarones, along with all planets in the universe. The tower standing in the middle of Continent Tarones was the only exception…

Part 2

“Conversation in the Universe”

A tall, old tower was floating in the vast universe, among the remnants of the planets. Everything was muted, sounds were no longer remembered. Not a hint of life existed, as if the universe was dead.
Suddenly a beam of light shone from the top of the tower and shrinked into the body of a young woman. Time seemed to have stopped in her ethereal eyes.
She rose and walked on the ruins of the tower and reached the black sphere on the other side. She embraced it while her pendulous white hair covered the inky sphere. The color of the sphere and her hair formed a vivid contrast.
Tawil: … So it failed?
Ithaqua: The causality is unbreakable…
Tawil: Ithaqua… There you are… Right, I understand… The walls before them were too hard to destroy…
Ithaqua: They are the fundamental laws of the world… Breaking them means defying common sense…
Tawil: But that isn’t impossible…
Ithaqua: … I don’t know…
Tawil: Not even you… But it’s exactly because none of us know it for sure that we can keep trying until the miracle happens…
Ithaqua: But before that, they will have to suffer numerous misfortunes…
