【Story】True Ending Chapter 1
Ch. 1 A Different Unfoldment

Part 1
“The Mysterious Call”
Enoch came to the Enochian Tower in order to find Tawil and to bring peace to the Continent Tarones. After many trials, he came to Mechanic City, met his companions of Charlouette again, and chose to go underground with Endor and Duncan to awaken Pompeii. On their way, they encountered the undead who were trapped. Unable to leave them behind, Enoch decided to render a helping hand.
To save the undead and fulfil their promise, Endor and Duncan consumed all of their energy and returned to the elements. Pulling himself together, Enoch proceeded with his journey along with Ingrid and Xilocient—
???: “Enoch…”
Enoch: Huh?
Ingrid: What’s wrong?
Enoch: I thought someone was calling me…
Xilocient: You mean those people?
Xilocient pointed towards the two approaching figures, whom Enoch soon recognized.
Enoch: Delta! Sonata!
Sonata: Enoch! See, I told you. He must be alive!
Delta: Indeed. You’re right.
Enoch: “Hold on…It feels weird…Why are they so friendly to each other…Right, they’re supposed to be…”
Enoch: Aren’t you two…in a fight?
Glancing at each other, Sonata and Delta seemed rather surprised.
Sonata: Huh? Did you bump your head? How would Delta and I enter into a fight?
Delta: Exactly, we are to wake Pompeii up together.
Enoch: No…no…It shouldn’t be like this…
Ingrid: What happened to you? You’ve been saying weird things.
???: “Enoch…”
Enoch: Who! Who are you?
???: “Come…”
Nervously, Enoch looked around him and finally located the source of the voice—a translucent figure whom Enoch recognized at a glimpse. It was his friend who used to accompany him on his journey.
Enoch: G…Glauox!
Glauox seemed to have caught Enoch’s gaze. He flapped his wings and flew off.
Enoch: Don’t…Don’t go!
Ingrid: Enoch—!…Tut! Running off and leaving us behind… Xilocient, you can go with them. I’ll catch up with you guys after picking up Enoch.
Xilocient: Okay, got it.
Sonata: Don’t worry, Delta and I will protect her.
Nodding thankfully, Ingrid turned around to follow Enoch, who had entered a dark alley.
Enoch chased after Glauox unrelentingly; it seemed that Glauox was trying to guide Enoch’s way as he kept flying at a constant speed that Enoch would be able to keep up with. At last, they reached a corner at which Glauox sped up and vanished.
Enoch: G…Glauox! Wait…Wait—Argh!
???: Argh—!
Enoch was too eager to catch up with Glauox that he hadn’t been paying much attention to what was in front of him. As a consequence, he crashed into someone rather violently. As he was rubbing his injured waist, he heard the familiar voice again.
Glauox: “Finally, you’re able to hear my calls…It is the key to rewrite despair…Never give up, my friend…”
Enoch: What—
???: It hurts so much! Do you even use your eyes? How could you…bump…into…Huh? B…Brother!
Enoch: “Wait…this is—”
Enoch looked up abruptly in disbelief. As he caught sight of the face that was so similar to his own, he muttered.
Enoch: Sister!

Part 2
“Cutest Sister in the Universe”
Sister: Tut…The worst person on earth to bump into…
Ingrid: Enoch!
When Enoch’s sister was gritting her teeth and pouring out complaints, Ingrid caught up with them and went straight to Enoch to help him up. On full alert, she stared at the girl.
Ingrid: Who are you?
Enoch: She…She’s not our enemy. She is—
Sister: I am Enoch’s younger sister. Just simply call me sister. Alright, so you’re Enoch’s girlfriend?
Ingrid: Wh…What?
Ingrid was blushing so hard that even her neck turned red; she was so disquieted that one could almost see smoke emitting from her head. She yelled as she irritably waved her arms.
Ingrid: Impossible! It’s not possible at all, not even the slightest possibility!
Enoch: Well…It kinda hurts when you’re trying so hard to deny it…
Ingrid: I…I didn’t mean to…It’s…It’s just I—
Sister: It’s just that I’m shy. I’m a girl, how could I say things like “I like you” so publicly…How’s that? Am I not a great actress?
Ingrid: That’s not what I think!
Enoch: Sister, stop. You’re still as mischievous as ever…Sorry, Ingrid, she’s causing you trouble.
Ingrid: … Never mind.
Sister: Alright. Now that we’ve known each other, it’s time for me to take leave—
Enoch: Humph! Don’t you dare leave us now. Why did you come to such a dangerous place alone? I want an explanation!
Sister: I didn’t come alone! Wait…Does that guy count as another person…Ugh, whatever. It’s just that I have something to do here, okay?
Enoch: Okay, but you must leave now, go home, and stay there.
Sister: So annoying…Looks like I can only take off my clothes and let you do whatever you want, just like what you used to do. That way, you’ll let me go.
Pulling on her shirt, Sister looked rather heroic as she was ready to take it off. But Enoch, who was sweating anxiously, pressed on her hands.
Enoch: Stop! What are you doing?
Sister: Huh? Haven’t you heard of the epigram “If a problem can’t be solved by taking off a shirt, then take off two.”
Ingrid: Did…Did someone really say that?
Sister: I just came up with that myself, hehe!
Enoch: Not funny!
Enoch: Sigh…Why did you grow up into this…
Sister: Because I was spoiled by the best brother in the universe.
Enoch: You—Sigh…what should I do with you…Anyway, make it clear: what are you doing here? Aren’t you supposed to be looking for Mother?
Sister: She…She’s not our mother…
Enoch: You—You know our real background now?
Sister: Yeah…Honestly, if a story unfolded like this in a stage play, I’d find it too cliché and ridiculous. But I guess reality is sometimes even more absurd than fictitious stories…
Enoch: Sister…Don’t be afraid. I will protect you to the end of the world.
Ingrid: How about stopping the world from ending first, you idiot?
Enoch: Ah, you’re right…Let’s not talk about this for now. Sister, it’ll be really dangerous here, so dangerous that I might not be able to protect you; that’s why I hope you can go home first.
Sister: No…I won’t go back! Or should I say, it’s not me who should be going back. It’s you, brother. It’s too dangerous for you to stay here.
Enoch: What’re you talking about! Why is it dangerous for me?
Sister: Because mother…Tawil wants to…Ugh—Desperate times call for desperate measures…Come out!
Enoch: Huh! These are…heroic spirits! Darn it, if you insist on a battle, I won’t show you any mercy!
Sister: Your power is stronger than mine; there’s no way I could fight against you.
Enoch: What!
Instead, Sister instructed the heroic spirits to attack Ingrid, who was caught off guard and taken away. Worried, Enoch turned away to follow her and was immediately seized by Sister’s heroic spirits as he exposed his weakness. Then, Sister tied him up with Ingrid using a magic rope.
Meanwhile, another heroic spirit slashed the ground and created a crater. Following Sister’s instructions, the heroic spirit threw Enoch and Ingrid into the hole. Feeling smug, Sister stood at the top of the crater and watched.
Sister: Alright, brother, you’ll stay here with your girlfriend. The cutest sister in the universe shall take care of the rest. When things are solved, you can do all sorts of nasty things to me!
Enoch: Who on earth does this kind of thing to his sister? Hey! Don’t go! Get us up there!
But Sister didn’t obey Enoch’s orders. After sending him an affectionate blow kiss, she left Enoch and Ingrid alone…

Part 3
“The Right to be Sad”
The rustling of fabric and the sounds of panting filled the space with romance and allure.
Ingrid: Ah…It hurts…Can’t you be gentler…
Enoch: But I can’t get in without pushing harder.
Ingrid: Why is it so thick…Ah! It hurts!
After making some strenuous effort, Enoch finally managed to slip his wand between the rope that tied Ingrid and him together. With a light push, the rope was cut by the sharp tip of the wand. Seeing how Ingrid was rubbing her reddened wrist, Enoch said apologetically.
Enoch: Sorry, it’s all my fault. You’re injured because I didn’t educate my sister well.
Ingrid: Not a big deal, they’ll recover soon. But you…Are you okay?
Enoch: Me? My skin is thick, I’ll be fine. Look.
Enoch raised his hands to show Ingrid his wrists, but the latter fixed her gaze on Enoch. Her eyes were full of concern and sympathy.
Ingrid: Not physically. Tawil…your mother, are you not heartbroken by her?
Enoch: …Indeed, I am, it’s impossible not to get hurt as we dig deeper into the truth…But my pain is negligible compared with that of those who have sacrificed their lives for me. I have no right to be sad—Whoa!
Abruptly, Ingrid held Enoch in her arms and placed his head in her chest. She looked at Enoch bravely, even though her face was blushing.
Ingrid: Hey, you don’t need any rights to be sad. Don’t say those sad things, you idiot!
Enoch: Ingrid…Thank you.
Enoch stretched out his arms and held Ingrid back to feel her warmth and tenderness. His inner wounds were healed, and he regained the courage that he had needed to unveil the intimidating truth.
Ingrid: Argh!
Enoch: Hmm?
All of a sudden, Ingrid moaned in an interesting manner. Enoch looked up and saw Ingrid’s watery eyes and her uncomfortable expression. For some reason, Enoch got incredibly thirsty.
Enoch: What…What happened to you?
Ingrid: Some…Something got into my clothes…Argh—! Enoch…Help me…Catch it!
Enoch: Huh? B…But…
Ingrid: Stop…Stop hesitating! Just…Just do it…Hmm!
Enoch: It…Okay!
Taking a deep breath, Enoch calmed down and traced the cylindrical thing that was moving all over Ingrid. Not only did the thing move incredibly fast, but at times it would reach some untouchable parts as well, making it difficult for Enoch to do anything with his hands.
Ingrid: Hurry…Hurry…Mmm…
Enoch: O…Okay…Take this!
Ingrid: Ah! You…Where are you trying to touch?
Enoch: So…Sorry, I didn’t mean to…
Enoch: “Darn it! I have to catch you!”
After a few failed attempts, Enoch finally caught the culprit—It was the magic rope that had tied them together just a while ago.
Ingrid: Ha, it was you…who messed with me!
Magic Rope: Urgh! Uh-huh!
Ingrid then grabbed the robe and tied numerous dead knots on it. The robe screamed in agony until Ingrid vented her anger.
Ingrid: Phew, feeling so much better now.
Magic Rope: Boohoo…
Enoch: “Poor thing, though it probably deserved it.”
Ingrid: Enoch, what are we gonna do next? Should we go and find your sister?
Enoch: Well…I want to, but I have no idea where she is…
Enoch was vexed when something poked his leg. He looked back and noticed it was the magic rope.
Magic Rope: Shoo! Shoo!
Ingrid: So you know where she is?
Magic Rope: Shoopi! Shoopi!
Enoch: Well…It is made of sister’s magic, we shouldn’t be surprised if it could detect where the owner is…Thanks for helping out.
Magic Rope: Eh heh!
The magic rope struck a cute pose; its style was strikingly similar to that of sister. Enoch couldn’t help but roll his eyes.
Enoch: “…They indeed look alike…

Part 4
“Looking for Sister”
Following the magic rope, Enoch and Ingrid arrived at an alley, where the rope pulled the brakes.
Magic Rope: Shoopi?
Enoch: Did you find sister?
Magic Rope: Shoopi!
Thrilled, the magic rope ran to a forked road. Enoch and Ingrid followed over, only to find that the rope was poking on a touch-me-not plant which grew in a crevice under the wall. The rope found it quite interesting that it played with it while making excited noises.
Enoch: It…It’s the fifth time already. Are you really showing us the way to sister?
Ingrid: Looks like you didn’t learn your lesson. How many dead knots do you want this time!
Magic Rope: Shoopi shoopi shoopi!
Ingrid: You have one last chance. Show us to your owner.
Terrified, the magic rope nodded vigorously and dashed forward. This time, it went straight ahead without constantly looking around, showing Enoch and Ingrid to a passageway that was linked to the underground.
The two were perturbed by the ominous atmosphere around. Enoch could feel waves of pain in the scar at the front of his chest. Distress accumulated in his heart and started turning into reality…
Magic Rope: Argh—! Mmm…
Enoch: Hey! What happened to you?
The magic rope stiffened and moaned painfully. Enoch and Ingrid rushed forth to check on the rope, but when they tried to touch it, it vanished.
Ingrid: It…It probably means that the owner is in danger…
Enoch: Sister must be around, let’s search around—
BOOM! A deafening noise was sent from the underground. Exchanging a gaze with each other, Enoch and Ingrid went underground without a word. Eventually, they came to an open space.
A blue ferocious beast stood in the centre of the space, its body shrouded in a menacing purple mist. One of its sharp claws held onto someone, while its other claw grabbed the person’s slender right hand. Enoch looked at the hostage in horror.
Enoch: Sis…Sister!
But Enoch’s frantic cry couldn’t prevent the tragedy from happening—Crack! The beast broke his sister’s right hand as if she were a doll. Her palm hung loosely there.
Enoch: Ahh…Unforgivable…I…I’m gonna kill you!
